Olivier Giroud is among three changes made by Maurizio Sarri to the side that was beaten by Arsenal as Chelsea prepare to host Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Giroud’s return to the side means Eden Hazard starts out wide once again, with Pedro being the other winger. As expected, Gonzalo Higuain is not a part of the matchday squad after Chelsea failed to complete his signing in time to get him registered, although he will be presented to the crowd ahead of the game.
Emerson Palmieri is the second change made by Maurizio Sarri, with the full-back replacing Marcos Alonso in defence. The final change by the Chelsea boss sees Ross Barkley take Mateo Kovacic’s place
