Maurizio Sarri has made four changes to the side that was beaten by Wolves in the midweek as Chelsea prepare to host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
The big changes have been made in the midfield, with Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic returning to Maurizio Sarri’s first-choice triumvirate. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Cesc Fabregas are the players who have dropped out. Meanwhile, David Luiz has replaced Andreas Christensen.
But, the big surprise in the Chelsea starting lineup is the absence of a striker, with Olivier Giroud on the bench and Alvaro Morata not a part of the matchday squad. The lineup suggests that Pedro could be the one playing centrally in a false nine role, with Eden Hazard and Willian being the wingers.
