Robert Lewandowski misses out on Bayern Munich’s first leg tie against Real Madrid through injury. This would see Thomas Muller lead the line, and he will be supplemented by Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in the final third.

Thiago Alcantara and Arturo Vidal will join former Real Madrid star Xabi Alonso in the middle of the park, while Javi Martinez will partner Jerome Boateng at the back.

For Real Madrid, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo lead the line while Toni Kroos returns to his former home to face the side where he achieved it all. He will be partnered by Luka Modric and Casemiro.

Dani Carvajal and Marcelo will start as full-backs, while Sergio Ramos and Nacho will play centrally. Keylor Navas will start in goal for Real.
