Eden Hazard scores a fine counter attacking goal as Chelsea beat West Ham 2-1 [Video]

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa were on the score sheet for Chelsea as the Blues ran out 2-1 winners over West Ham United at the London Stadium on Monday.

It was Costa again who got the winning goal for Chelsea in the repeat of the score line from the reverse fixture back on the opening weekend of the season, but the goal by Hazard resulted from an electric counter attack that has become a trademark of Antonio Conte’s side this season.

Midway through the first half, West Ham had a free kick from 30 yards out that resulted in Manuel Lanzini shooting the ball straight into the Chelsea wall.

N’Golo Kante then intercepted a pass from Robert Snodgrass to initiate the counter as he released Hazard into the West Ham half. The Belgium then drove through along with Pedro, before playing a one-two with the Spaniard and finally rounding Darren Randolph to break the deadlock for the Blues.
