Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has given the Old Trafford faithful a lot to cheer for during his six-year stint as a Manchester United player. Since his move from Sporting Lisbon, Ronaldo quickly connected with the club’s fans and is still held in high regard by them despite joining Real Madrid in 2009.

The 31-year-old scored a number of impressive goals and has won countless matches for the Red Devils. One of his most important performances, undoubtedly, would be on this day nine years ago, when he bagged an impressive hat-trick in United’s 6-0 thumping of Newcastle at Old Trafford.
