Alexandre Pato scored on his Chelsea debut from a penalty kick against Aston Villa, as the Blues hammered Villa 4-0 to garner 44 points out of 31 matches.
The Brazilian forward replaced an injured Loic Remy in the 23rd minute and scored in the dying embers of the first half, as his penalty kick flew straight into the left top corner to double the Blues’ lead, after Ruben Loftus-Cheek had opened the scoring in the 26th minute.
After his loan move from Brazilian club Corinthians, Pato was largely relegated to the bench by manager Guus Hiddink. After a 63-day wait Pato commemorated his Chelsea debut with a goal.
