We provide potentially marketable betting tips for Gameweek 4 of the Premier League featuring Manchester United vs Tottenham as the Match of the Day.
The stadiums might be silent and the atmosphere filled with fake audience noise. But, football is truly back with the Premier League. Even though we are just three gameweeks into the 2020/21 season, there are a fair bit of storylines brewing already. None of them though, might compare to what is happening at Arsenal.
Despite not having much of a budget as reported, Arsenal have done well in the market and are one of the dark horses for the title challenge. They will face last season’s overachievers or surprise package, Sheffield United this weekend.
Liverpool are coming off a Carabao Cup defeat at the hands of Arsenal and will be going up against the only team yet to concede a goal this season – Aston Villa – on Sunday night. Chelsea and Crystal Palace kick things off for the week in what will be a highly anticipated encounter.
Leeds vs Manchester City and Manchester United vs Tottenham could both be labelled the highlight of the Gameweek for Matchday 4. There are many more enticing match-ups that await us in the Premier League this weekend. Let us see if we can profit off of some of those.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
You can expect goals in every Chelsea game, simply for the fact that Frank Lampard has been unable to find the winning combination at the back so far and their own attack has been producing the goods at the other end. But, Palace will be a different beast. The Eagles will deploy a low block strategy quite like they did against Manchester United and it will be up to Chelsea’s playmakers to find the gap.
Kai Havertz could be the key for Chelsea on Saturday and we are going with him and Timo Werner to fire.
Favourable Tips
1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.80
2. Timo Werner to score anytime @ 1.72
Hot Ones
1. Kai Havertz Assists Over 0.5 @ 4.00
Leeds vs Manchester City
A battle between two magnificent managers – one who redefined perfection during his time at Barcelona and the one who he thinks is perfect. Leeds United have shown they will not be pushovers even against the best the Premier League has to offer. Manchester City have on the other hand, struggled against high-scoring opposition, mostly due to their ineptitude at the back.
Expect another high-octane game featuring Leeds. But, we will give a slight edge to Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola hungry to prove his team are genuine title challengers this time around.
Favourable Tips
1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.61
2. Match Shots on Target Over 9.5 @ 1.80
Hot Ones
1. Full Time Result – Leeds or Draw @ 3.00
Arsenal vs Sheffield United
The Blades have merely been a shadow of their past season’s form so far. Chris Wilder has made the necessary signings, especially by bringing in Aaron Ramsdale from Bournemouth. There is optimism that Sheffield will bounce back. Arsenal beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup during the midweek but will have to rotate players for the game.
A fresher Sheffield United might just be able to hold Arsenal to a goalless draw here, as we believe. Keep an eye on Aaron Ramsdale for this one.
Favourable Tips
1. Under 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.90
Hot Ones
1. Full Time Scoreline – Arsenal 0-0 Sheffield United @ 11.00
2. Full Time Result – Draw @ 4.20
Manchester United vs Tottenham
Jose’s ‘homecoming’ to a place he still has admirers that were not happy with his exit. Manchester United have stabilised under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but a lack of signings this summer threaten to tear down the structure in its nascent stage itself. Spurs have strengthened massively and are one of the dark horses for a potential title challenge, if all goes well.
The two teams always manage a cagey affair when matched against each other and we could be in for more of the same on Sunday at Old Trafford. But, given the potential absence of Son Heung-min, we are going with a narrow 1-0 win for Manchester United, with Donny van de Beek likely to help in moving past Tottenham’s well-structured defence.
Favourable Tips
1. Both Teams to Score – NO @ 2.05
Hot Ones
1. Under 1.5 Match Goals @ 4.00
Aston Villa vs Liverpool
One of these two teams are yet to concede a goal so far this season and the other has let in 4. Many would be surprised to know that the former is Aston Villa and Liverpool, the latter. The Villans have strengthened their backline with the addition of Emiliano Martinez in goal and Matty Cash out on the flank, with both players starting off well.
Liverpool will be jaded a bit after the Thursday night loss in the Carabao Cup. But, Jurgen Klopp made sure the squad was well-rotated so we should see an optimum starting XI from the defending champions. It will be tough to predict Villa keeping another clean sheet but they could be in for a point on the board.
Favourable Tips
1. Mohamed Salah to score anytime @ 1.57
Hot Ones
1. Full Time Result – Aston Villa or Draw @ 2.75
The Best of the Rest
Wolves will be looking to bounce back from their ugly and shocking 4-0 defeat to West Ham and should make light work of Fulham. Southampton vs West Brom looks set to be a high-scoring affair; Newcastle are likely to notch up another win, this time against Burnley and Everton should be the favourites to win against Brighton at Goodison Park.
Favourable Tips
1. Wolves to win over Fulham @ 1.50
2. Southampton vs West Brom – Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.80
3. Newcastle Draw No Bet vs Burnley @ 1.72
4. Everton to beat Brighton @ 1.80
