English Premier League Gameweek 4: Best Betting markets including bets for Manchester City vs Liverpool

The Hard Tackle presents to you the one-stop shop to scour all the best betting markets for the fourth gameweek of the English Premier League

As we return from international break, Premier League serves us an absolute mouth-watering list of games to look forward to. With almost all of the major games to take place on Saturday, starting off with the massive Manchester City vs Liverpool game, the weekend is sure to be a great one for football fans worldwide.

Arsenal will look to bounce back from the humiliating Liverpool defeat with a positive performance against Bournemouth while Stoke look to take another major scalp in the form of Manchester United. Tottenham have a tricky away trip to Goodison as Mauricio Pochettino looks to get his side’s title chase back on track.

The champions will face off at King Power as Chelsea travel to face Leicester and we could see the first sacking of the season if Slaven Bilic fails to muster up a positive result against new boys Huddersfield, who are yet to concede a Premier League goal this season.

Before we delve into the best markets for the upcoming gameweek, we take a look at the result of our suggestions from the earlier gameweek, a disappointing one to say the least.

Favourable Bets result: 3/9

Underdog Bets result: 0/5

THT Favourable Bets Overall Result: 21/35

Now let’s take a look at the best markets for the upcoming gameweek starting off with the biggest game on offer.

Manchester City vs Liverpool

Two of the most sumptuous attacking lineups on paper and on the field, Etihad is sure to be witness to a cracking match on Saturday. Goals are sure to come thick and fast at Etihad on Saturday as both the clubs look to get one over their fellow title aspirants.

Sadio Mane has been in hot form and is expected to be on the scoresheet again. Liverpool have an extraordinary record against the top teams under Jurgen Klopp and the same could unfold on the field in what is an early kick-off on Saturday.

Favourable Bets:

1. Liverpool Asian Handicap +0.5 @ 2.080

2. Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.50

3. Sadio Mane to score anytime @ 2.87

Underdog Bets:

1. Liverpool Draw No Bet @ 3.00

Arsenal vs Bournemouth

A match that is of high significance for both Arsene Wenger and Eddie Howe. With an identical goal difference and just 3 points more than the visitors, Arsenal have had another torrid start to their campaign. The Gunners, though, managed to retain Alexis Sanchez, who could be the key man going into the match.

Their last two matchups have served up 10 goals in total and we could see another high-scoring match. Arsenal, though, are undefeated in 4 meetings against the visitors and this could be the perfect fixture to get their season back on track.

Favourable Bets:

1. Alexis Sanchez to score anytime @ 1.72

2. Arsenal Asian Handicap -1.5 @ 1.950

Underdog Bets:

1. Arsenal Team Goals Over 3.5 @ 3.50

Leicester City vs Chelsea

Two champions who faltered in their defence meet on Saturday. And it is the visitors who look good for money, after a 2-0 win over Everton and the subsequent arrival of Zappacosta and Drinkwater on deadline day. The visitors could very well field the same pivot that was a part of Leicester’s title-winning season.

The game is impossible to call, really. It could either be a high-scoring open affair or a cagey one with only a goal in it.

Favourable Bets:

1. Chelsea to win @ 1.80

Underdog Bets:

1. Leicester 0-1 Chelsea @ 7.00

Stoke City vs Manchester United

Stoke City have been a bogey team for United in recent times, with only one win for the Red Devils in the last five. The Potters have already taken the scalp of Arsenal. Mark Hughes focused on reinforcing their backline for the present season and it will be interesting to see how Mourinho’s side is able to break down their defence.

Despite United’s brilliant start, the odds are not yet as skewed in their favour and we expect them to pull through anyhow. Romelu Lukaku will be key with his strength against a robust Stoke defence.

Favourable Bets:

1. Manchester United to win @ 1.50

2. Romelu Lukaku to score anytime @ 1.90

3. Manchester United Asian Handicap -1.0 @ 1.860

Underdog Bets:

1. Paul Pogba to score anytime @ 3.40

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur

Here are two teams that are both bidding to end the supremacy of the other big clubs. While Tottenham have managed to enter the fraternity of the Elites, Everton have often knocked on the door, only to fall back ultimately.

Harry Kane has found his scoring boots again, albeit only for the National Team. But, the striker is tipped to break his duck for the current season soon. And this may just be the game. The two teams are level on points and by no means will this be a cakewalk for Spurs. Expect a high-octane game at Goodison.

Favourable Bets:

1. Tottenham to win @ 2.10

2. Harry Kane to score anytime @ 1.95

Underdog Bets:

1. Harry Kane to score 2 or more @ 5.50

Miscellaneous Bets

Elsewhere, Swansea would be looking to build on their victory over Crystal Palace when they host Newcastle.

Favourable Bets:

1. West Brom Asian Handicap +0.5 vs Brighton @ 1.50

2. Swansea Asian Handicap 0.0 vs Newcastle @ 1.650

3. West Ham vs Huddersfield – Full Time Result – Draw or Huddersfield @ 1.85

Underdog Bets:

1. Southampton vs Watford – Full Time Result – Draw @ 4.00
