Manchester United line up €100 million move for Anthony Gordon

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Newcastle United attacker Anthony Gordon in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United will face competition from Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Anthony Gordon. The Red Devils already invested a lot of money in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha last summer, but it seems that they are prepared to invest in another winger in the summer.

According to a report from Fichajes, they could offer €100 million to sign the England international.

Gordon has been in fine form for Newcastle this season, and he has registered 22 goal contributions in all competitions. He could be an excellent addition for Manchester United. The 25-year-old is versatile enough to operate on the flanks as well as a centre forward.

The opportunity to join Manchester United could be tempting for him. The Englishman would get to experience Champions League football with them next season and perhaps compete for trophies as well.

Anthony Gordon Premier League 2025/26 stats

  • Goals and assists: 8
  • Big chances created: 5
  • Key pass per game: 1
  • Scc. dribbles per game: 1.3
  • Crossing accuracy: 21%

Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in Gordon

On the other hand, Arsenal are monitoring Gordon’s situation as well. The signing of Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze has not gone according to plan. Both players have been underwhelming, and Arsenal need more quality on the flanks. The arrival of the Newcastle United star could solve their issues in the wide areas next season.

Finally, Liverpool are keeping tabs on his situation as well. They have been linked with Gordon for quite some time now. The 25-year-old Newcastle United star is a boyhood Liverpool fan, and the opportunity to join them could be exciting for him. It remains to be seen whether they can secure Champions League qualification for the upcoming campaign and convince the player to join the club.

If Manchester United come forward with a €100 million offer to get the deal done, it will be difficult for Arsenal or Liverpool to beat them to his signature. Newcastle United will look to recoup as much as possible from his departure. They could prefer to sell the player to Manchester United or Arsenal instead of Liverpool because of the animosity between the two clubs, which developed after the transfer of Alexander Isak.
