West Ham United will reportedly look to sign 28-year-old Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri from Turkish club Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Youssef En-Nesyri is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers are eager to bolster their offensive unit by signing another striker in the summer transfer window despite completing a Bosman move for Callum Wilson. So, the 28-year-old Fenerbahce centre-forward has emerged as a target for the East London club.
Meanwhile, the Turkish giants have set their asking price for the African attacker, and they will demand €40 million to part ways with the Fez native in the summer transfer window. En-Nesyri is the priority target for West Ham, with the Premier League club “most determined to make a move” before the window shuts down.
Youssef En-Nesyri and his Turkish journey so far
Youssef En-Nesyri has established himself as one of the best players in the Turkish Super Lig since joining Fenerbahce from Sevilla last summer. The 28-year-old took no time to land on his feet at the club, and he was a pivotal figure for the Yellow Canaries in his debut season.
The Moroccan international contributed to 37 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 30 times and providing seven assists. Meanwhile, En-Nesyri’s exploits have not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, particularly from the Premier League. West Ham United will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.
London calling?
Youssef En-Nesyri has been on West Ham United’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, even though Callum Wilson has completed a Bosman move to the London Stadium. With Niclas Fullkrug struggling in his debut season, the Hammers need a reliable striker who does not struggle with fitness issues.
Several strikers, including Alexander Sorloth, have emerged on West Ham’s radar, with En-Nesyri also a viable target. The Hammers are prioritising signing the former Sevilla striker from Fenerbahce. Meanwhile, the Turkish giants have named their price for En-Nesyri, and they will demand around €40 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.
A proposal worth €40 million will be enough to convince Fenerbahce to part ways with En-Nesyri. So, a summer move to the Premier League may be on the cards for the 28-year-old Moroccan international, with recent reports suggesting they may present an offer around that sum.
