However, Manchester City demanded a £40 million transfer fee, which neither club was willing to meet. Al-Nassr instead signed Brazilian goalkeeper Bento, and Al-Ittihad acquired Predrag Rajkovic from RCD Mallorca, effectively ending the immediate threat of Ederson’s departure.
