Liverpool keen on signing Brahim Diaz

Arne Slot’s Liverpool are ready to fork out €50 million to acquire the services of Real Madrid attacking sensation Brahim Diaz.

According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool are keen on reinforcing their attack ahead of next season as they look to prepare for the new era under Arne Slot. The Reds are looking for a versatile forward who can add dynamism to the Dutch manager’s squad and have their eyes set on Brahim Diaz.

After coming up the ranks at Manchester City, Diaz joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019. He finally got an extended run in Los Blancos’ first team last season on the back of a two-year-long successful loan stint at AC Milan.

In the 2023/24 campaign, he contributed with 12 goals and nine assists as the team in white won La Liga as well as the Champions League. While he was involved in 44 games, the majority of his appearances came as a substitute. He had quite an impact despite getting limited minutes under Carlo Ancelotti.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed and there are clubs keen on prising him away from Real Madrid. While he still has three years left on his deal, Liverpool are considering making a move for the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.

Liverpool push hard for Diaz

The Merseyside club are looking to add more firepower to their attack in the summer. Arne Slot who has just taken charge as their new boss wants to have more options at his disposal. He wants to sign someone who can feature in different positions and have a big impact in the final third.

Diaz seems to be a perfect fit as he can feature anywhere in attack, create chances for others around him and even find the back of the net when needed. His versatility is what attracts the Reds and they are willing to fork out €50 million to sign him.

Real Madrid are aware of Liverpool’s interest in the Moroccan international. Los Blancos are looking to make adjustments to their squad and they could look to sanction his departure if they feel the right price is being offered. Los Blancos have a lot of depth in their attack and with Kylian Mbappe and Endrick joining ahead of next season, Diaz could look for a move away in search of regular minutes and prominence.
