Premier League heavyweights Liverpool have reportedly presented their proposal to sign Ederson from Serie A club Atalanta this summer.
According to a report by Jorge Nicola, Ederson is the subject of interest from Liverpool. The Reds are scouring the market for a midfielder heading into the summer transfer window. And they have submitted a bid worth €45 million to sign the 24-year-old midfielder from Serie A club Atalanta.
The rise and rise of Ederson
Ederson has come leaps and bounds since joining Atalanta from Salernitana in July 2022. A young prospect when he arrived in Italy over two years ago, he has blossomed into a powerhouse performer in the middle of the park.
Ederson’s exploits with Atalanta have helped him break into the Brazilian national team, with Dorival Junior calling him up to the squad for the 2024 Copa America. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old amassed over 4,000 minutes of game time across 53 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with seven goals and one assist.
However, Ederson’s spell in Serie A might end in the summer transfer window, with several Premier League bigwigs keen on securing his services. Almost every big-name English club has shown interest in the Atalanta midfielder, although Liverpool might be his next destination.
