Liverpool are all set to break the bank to sign West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus amidst interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid.
According to Ibrahim Sannie Daara, Liverpool are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and they have their eyes set on Mohammed Kudus. He has been in sensational form in his first season in England and his performances have resulted in interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Kudus became the talk of the town on the back of his impressive performances for Ajax. He featured in 87 matches for the Dutch club and contributed towards 39 goals during his three-year stint. On the back of his impressive rise at Ajax, multiple top clubs wanted to sign him but West Ham United managed to beat the competition to his signature.
European giants interested in Kudus
Since joining the Hammers last summer, he has been involved in 44 matches and has contributed towards 19 goals (13 goals, 6 assists). It has been an exceptional debut season for Kudus in the Premier League. He has been a regular feature in their starting XI and has featured almost everywhere in attack.
The 23-year-old exceptional abilities on the ball along with his versatility is why top clubs from across Europe are keen on his signature. Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid are all interested in having the former Ajax star in their squad.
The Gunners are looking for more firepower in attack as they want to establish themselves as a powerhouse in European football. They feel Kudus could be a great signing for them. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are always on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their squad and they feel the West Ham star could help their cause.
Liverpool ready to pay £85 million for Kudus
While both the giants are interested in his services and have made initial enquiries about him, Liverpool seem very much keen on signing him. The Reds feel he could be a great signing for them as they head into the post-Klopp era.
Arne Slot who is all set to take charge of the Merseyside club is a big fan of the 23-year-old attacking sensation. He is keen on having Kudus at his disposal at the club and the Reds are pushing hard for his signature. They are ready to trigger the £85 million release clause in his contract to land him at the club in the summer.
They have already activated contacts to help them strike a deal before they look to discuss personal terms with the player. Sannie Daara believes the coming days are going to be very crucial for the deal if it is to be completed.
