Newly promoted Premier League club Ipswich Town will compete with Fulham for 26-year-old Coventry City midfielder Ben Sheaf.
According to a report by The Sun, Ben Sheaf is the subject of interest from Ipswich Town. The Tractor Boys are eager to build a squad that can remain in the Premier League beyond the 2024/25 season. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Coventry City midfielder is also a target for Fulham, with the Sky Blues demanding around £10 million to sell him in the summer transfer window.
Who is Ben Sheaf?
Ben Sheaf has found stable footing in his career since leaving Arsenal to join Coventry City in July 2021. The Sky Blues initially signed the Eynsford native on a season-long loan deal in September 2020. A former trainee in Arsenal’s academy, he also represented West Ham United in his youth days.
However, first-team football for Arsenal was not forthcoming, and he joined Coventry City to kick-start his career. Sheaf’s decision has paid off, as he has been a regular for the Championship club in the last three years. The 26-year-old has turned out nearly 150 times thus far for Coventry City, chipping in with nine goals and nine assists.
However, the Englishman believes he is ready for Premier League football. With Coventry City failing to clinch promotion to the top flight, a move in the summer transfer window might be on the cards. Ipswich Town and Fulham are two of Ben Sheaf’s prospective suitors.

So, they are eager to sign highly talented English footballers, with Taylor Harwood-Bellis recently emerging as a target.
However, Ipswich Town will face stiff competition from Fulham for the 26-year-old English midfielder. The Cottagers are in the market for versatile midfielders, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall recently emerging on their radar. However, Sheaf is also a viable target for the West London club.
