Newcastle United have reportedly ramped up their efforts to sign Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will cost around €30-35 million.
According to a report by Spanish journalist Nacho Sanchis, Giorgi Mamardashvili is the subject of interest from Newcastle United. The Magpies are scouring the market for a goalkeeper heading into the summer transfer window. And they have formalised their move for the Valencia goalkeeper, who will cost around €30-35 million.

Giorgi Mamardashvili has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in La Liga since joining Valencia nearly three years ago. Los Che initially secured his services on loan in July 2021 before completing a permanent move in January 2022. And the Georgian international has come leaps and bounds in the last three seasons.
Valencia might have blown hot and cold in La Liga during Mamardashvili’s stint at the Mestalla. However, the 23-year-old has been a shining light for Los Che in the last three years, with the current season seeing him keep 12 clean sheets in 33 La Liga matches, conceding only 35 goals.
Mamardashvili’s progress at the Spanish club has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. However, a move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with Newcastle United keen on signing him in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United’s interest in Giorgi Mamardashvili is understandable. While Nick Pope will return from his long-term injury next season, there are no guarantees he will be the first-choice goalkeeper for the Tyneside outfit.
