Arsenal plotting summer move for Michael Olise

Arsenal are looking to bolster their attack by signing 22-year-old Crystal Palace right-winger Michael Olise in the summer.

According to a report by Fichajes, Arsenal are planning to go big in the upcoming transfer window in order to further bolster their squad. They want to add more firepower to their attack and have their eyes set on Michael Olise.

The French youth international joined Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021. While he only had limited game time in his first season, Olise managed to put in quite a few impressive performances. People at the club were quite impressed with his development and by the end of the second season, he was already a regular.

While things haven’t been that great for the 22-year-old in the ongoing season because of injuries, he still has nine goal contributions in the Premier League despite having played just over 800 minutes of first-team football.

The injuries have hampered his progress but he is back fit now. The French winger seems to be in the same flow that he was before picking up a hamstring injury for the second time in the season.

Arsenal want to sign Michael Olise in the summer

Despite the recent injury concerns, there is no shortage of interest in the 22-year-old. Arsenal are one of the clubs that are keen on having him at their disposal. He was a part of their youth ranks back in 2009 and the North London club are now looking to bring him back.

While they have made great progress over the past few seasons, Mikel Arteta still feels they are not on the level of the biggest clubs in the world. The Spanish manager wants further reinforcement in attack to ensure he can compete with the best clubs and push for all major titles.

Arsenal feel Olise could be a great addition for the short as well as the long run. He will add a lot of quality to their attack and give them more depth on the right flank. The 22-year-old has a release clause of around £65 million and he is seen as an ideal fit for Arteta’s team.

While his contract with the Eagles runs until the summer of 2027, the release clause could lead to an early exit. The Arsenal owners are aware of the need to strengthen their squad to compete at the highest level and they are willing to back their manager. But, the Gunners will need to be wary of the Premier League’s financial regulations before they make any major moves in the upcoming transfer window.
