Fulham to abandon Trevoh Chalobah chase and offer Tosin Adarabiyo new deal

Fulham to abandon Trevoh Chalobah pursuit as they are closing in on a new deal with their 26-year-old star Tosin Adarabiyo.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Fulham are all set to drop the idea of making a move for Trevoh Chalobah’s services. The Cottagers have been linked with the Chelsea star as they look to reinforce their defence and find a potential replacement for Tosin Adarabiyo.

The 26-year-old centre-back’s contract with Fulham runs out at the end of the season. With just months left on his deal, multiple clubs from across Europe are looking for a Bosman move. But, the Cottagers are pushing hard for a new deal.

New deal for Tosin Adarabiyo

Adarabiyo has been an important part of their first team since joining them from Manchester City in 2020. He has gone from strength to strength over the years and Marco Silva feels he is still very important to them. As a result, they are willing to give it their all to extend the 26-year-old’s stay at the club.

The West London club have put forward a bummer offer for the defender. And, as per the report, the talks are now in the advanced stage and there is real optimism in the people about him continuing at the club.

While the former City star has been considering his options, the new offer on the table from the Cottagers is believed to be too good and he is expected to put pen to paper.

Trevoh Chalobah to Fulham stalled

If he does end up staying at the club, they will drop their pursuit of Chelsea graduate Trevoh Chalobah. The 24-year-old centre-back was identified by Fulham as a potential replacement for Adarabiyo. They were in talks with the player and he was interested in the switch.

Chalobah and his family have a good relationship with the club due to the fact that his brother Nathaniel is a former Fulham player. Even Chelsea are ready to sanction his departure. Despite that, it seems the deal will now take a back seat as Adarabiyo looks all set to extend his stay.

For now, the Cottagers are out of the race for the Chelsea defender’s services but things could change depending on the 26-year-old contract situation.
