Fulham set to ramp up talks to sign Armando Broja

Fulham to push hard for the services of 22-year-old Aston Villa target Armando Broja following the injury to Raul Jimenez.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Fulham are keen on reinforcing their attack before the end of the ongoing transfer window and they have their eyes set on Armando Broja. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge but that hasn’t happened yet. However, with Fulham all set to step up their interest, things could take a turn on deadline day.

Broja came up the ranks at Chelsea and made it to their first team in the summer of 2022. But, things haven’t gone according to plan for him since making it to their first team. He was injured for the majority of last season. While he has been fit in this time around, he hasn’t had enough first-team minutes.

The 22-year-old has failed to cement his spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI. As a result, he has been linked with a move away from the club and the Chelsea boss is happy to let the Albanian international leave amidst interest from Fulham and Aston Villa.

Villa have been on a dominant run and they need attacking reinforcement to ensure they finish inside the top four. Broja seems to be an appealing option to Emery’s team. But, it seems the Cottagers are the ones who are leading the race at this stage. They previously submitted a loan offer with a buy option. But, that offer was rejected by the Blues.

Fulham are looking to once again make a move for the services of Broja. The Cottagers want to reinforce their attack and ensure they have enough firepower up top following the injury to Raul Jimenez. As a result, they have been holding talks with Chelsea over the last 24 hours as they look to strike a deal before the end of the window.

While the Blues are ready to let him leave, they are not looking for a straightforward loan move. The London club are seeking a loan move with an obligation to buy with a starting price of £35 million.

The Cottagers will have to commit to a £35m fee to sign Broja before the end of the window. If they manage to get this deal over the line, the 22-year-old will become their club record signing.
