Torino keen on Chelsea striker Armando Broja

Torino are keen on signing Armando Broja in January, but Chelsea are not eager to part ways with the 22-year-old just yet.

According to Fichajes, Torino holds an interest in signing Armando Broja in the January window. The 22-year-old Chelsea ace has not found a breakthrough in Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but the Blues are not overly keen to part ways with the Albanian.

Chelsea have produced many top-rated stars out of their Cobham Academy but have rarely shown patience in helping them rise into first-team stars. Armando Broja remains a unique case in that respect, with the Albanian star considered for a big future role at the club.

After his successful loan spell with Southampton, Chelsea decided to keep him, but injuries have hampered his progress. He remains on the periphery of the current first-team squad, but Mauricio Pochettino remains open to giving him more opportunities and game time.

He has become a regular to come off the bench and even started during their loss on Sunday to Everton. There are some questions and speculation surrounding his future, as Chelsea might see fit to sign a striker in January.

Summer arrival Nicolas Jackson remains ahead of the 22-year-old Chelsea ace in the pecking order, meaning the club might look to cash in on the Albanian. Some reports earlier projected the Blues could demand £30 million to sell Broja, and now Torino are reportedly keen, alongside other English sides.

West Ham hold an interest in the striker as David Moyes continues to look for a new option in January. Chelsea might refuse a move to another English side, meaning Torino could have a chance to sign him. The Italian side are unusual suitors for the 22-year-old, but the striker might decide on their offer if he receives guarantees about playing time.

There’s also reported interest from Fulham, but the report insists Chelsea are not open to letting the striker leave in January. Poichettino might want depth in the position, especially if they fail to land a top-draw striker. However, their stance could change if they can secure a new No.9 in January.

Tornio might yet have to wait before Chelsea sign a new striker that could see their chances of landing Broja receive a boost. Hence. For the time being, the Albanian might remain at Stamford Bridge and even look for reasons to fight for his place under Pochettino. However, if a new striker arrives, his chances of playing time could reduce, thus giving rise to his chances of leaving in January.
