Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Antonio Nusa this summer and have offered €30 million to secure his services.
A report from Het Nieuwsblad claims that Chelsea have offered €30 million to sign 18-year-old Norwegian wonderkid Antonio Nusa.
Nusa is highly rated around Europe, and he could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition for the Blues. The 18-year-old is capable of playing anywhere across the front three, although he excels in the wide areas.
Nusa is already a part of the Club Brugge first team, and he has a goal and two assists to his name across all competitions this season. The talented young attacker could develop into a key player for Chelsea in the coming seasons, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can get the deal across the line.
Chelsea have shown a willingness to spend on talented young players, and it seems that they are putting together a formidable squad for the future. And they have signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City today.
The opportunity to move to Stamford Bridge will be an attractive option for Nusa as well. The 18-year-old will look to continue his development at the Premier League club in the coming seasons. It is highly unlikely that he will be a regular starter for Chelsea this season. And it will be interesting to see how Mauricio Pochettino handles his development if the transfer goes through.
The Norwegian wonderkid needs to play regularly in order to improve as a player and fulfil his potential. Chelsea have a number of quality attackers at their disposal, and they have been very active in the transfer market over the past year.
Nusa might have to be content with appearances in the cup games if he moves to Stamford Bridge this summer. Alternatively, Chelsea could look to sign him permanently and then loan him out so that he can get ample first-team experience for the remainder of the season.
There is no doubt that the 18-year-old is a long-term prospect for the Blues. The reported €30 million offer seems substantial for the talented young attacker, and it remains to be seen whether Club Brugge are prepared to accept the offer before the transfer window closes.
