Bayern Munich very confident of agreeing deal for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich are extremely confident of closure in the Harry Kane saga despite the delay to their scheduled meeting with Daniel Levy.

According to Sport 1, Bayern Munich are confident of signing Harry Kane and hopes to achieve a breakthrough in talks with their next meeting with Daniel Levy. The Bavarians are also expected to lodge a third, improved bid for the 30-year-old as pressure mounts on Tottenham to sell their star striker.

For some reason, many English fans consider Harry Kane joining Bayern Munich an inferior career decision, despite the Bavarians being one of the European superpowers. At the Bundesliga side, the striker gets the guarantee of winning trophies, a feat he never achieved at Spurs despite his goal-laden years.

Kane is at the peak of his powers, and Bayern needs someone to elevate their attacking quality to help win the Champions League. The situation is evolving, and there is every chance the 30-year-old will join the Bundesliga giants in the coming weeks.

The hold-up comes from Tottenham, who have already rejected two offers from Bayern. The earlier suggestion was that Daniel Levy remained uninterested in selling Kane. He had confidence in the striker extending his deal.

Kane has since reportedly rejected a lucrative contract and decided against signing one as he pushes ahead to sign for Bayern. The German club’s chiefs had scheduled to meet with Levy on Friday, but now that meeting has been postponed until next week.

It is not a setback in Bayern’s pursuit, only a minor inconvenience. Bayern are now expected to lodge a third, improved offer to convince Tottenham, who continue to hold out for a fee over £100 million. It is impossible to see the Bavarians pay that much but retain confidence in finding a breakthrough.

Bayern are eager to wrap up a deal in the next meeting or at least make in-roads in their pursuit. It’s a difficult task as things stand, as Tottenham will have to search for a proper replacement in the time left.

With Kane pushing, this deal could conclude, as it’s a golden opportunity for Bayern to land one of the coveted strikers in football. Next year, Kane may have more offers as a free agent, and he could stay in England to pursue Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record.
