Manchester United are ready to hold fresh talks with Atalanta to figure out a way to sign Rasmus Hojlund, who prefers a move to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are relaxed about rival interest as they are convinced the 20-year-old wants the move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are in a rush to wrap up their important transfer business before the Premier League season begins. One of their key requirements is bringing in a new striker, with Rasmus Hojlund their primary target.
There have been rumblings about re-entry into the Harry Kane saga. But so far, Manchester United have given no indication whatsoever about it. In fact, they have already seen a bid rejected for Hojlund by Atalanta, who remain adamant over their demands.
Manchester United made a verbal offer worth €60 million, which Atalanta rejected and asked for at least €70 million. It is not a difficult spot as previously envisaged, as the Red Devils may have the edge in negotiations due to the player’s preference.

Hojlund has long suggested he remains interested in a move to Old Trafford, as there was a bid from PSG recently. Meanwhile, Manchester United made a new verbal offer at the time of writing as per Fabrizio Romano worth more than €60 million.
Negotiations continue as personal terms are not a major issue with Hojlund. Erik ten Hag has desperately needed a new striker to improve his system and considers Hojlund a viable option despite his lack of experience.
Meanwhile, they are also keen to strengthen other positions in the squad, with central midfield another key area for Ten Hag. Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat remains linked, as Manchester United will switch their attention as soon as they wrap up the Hojlund move.
Everything depends on the advanced negotiations between the two sides and how they can agree on a reasonable fee. For now, the Serie A side want around €70 million. But Manchester United will remain optimistic about closing the deal for less.
