Chelsea will reportedly soon complete the deal to sign 15-year-old English wonderkid Ollie Harrison from Newcastle United this summer.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Ollie Harrison is the subject of interest from Chelsea. And the Blues are on the verge of securing the services of the 15-year-old Newcastle United wonderkid. All parties have sealed an agreement, with the teenage sensation joining the West London club this summer.
Ollie Harrison has spent his formative years in his homeland, with the last few years coming at Newcastle United. The English prodigy has come through the ranks at the Tyneside outfit and has been one of the club’s brightest young prospects.
A midfielder by trade, the 15-year-old wonderkid currently represents Newcastle United under-18. And he has also turned out for England’s under-16 team. Meanwhile, Harrison has tasted success in age-group football with his national side, as they won the Mondial Montaigu Tournament by beating Japan in the final. But the youngster’s stint with Newcastle United is ending, with Chelsea set to snap him up.
The Blues have constantly boasted of one of the best academies in the world, producing several well-known players. And Chelsea’s focus on grooming young prospects has come leaps and bounds since Todd Boehly and his consortium took over the club. They have already signed many young prospects in the last 12 months, including Omari Hutchinson, Kendry Paez, and Angelo Gabriel.

Meanwhile, Harrison might not be the last young prospect to join Chelsea, with the West London club also vying for Matheus Franca. And it will be interesting to see who else the Blues sign to bolster their youth division this summer.
