Eduardo Camavinga will soon sign a new five-year contract with Real Madrid, with his release clause rising to €1 billion.
According to a report by Spanish outlet MARCA, Eduardo Camavinga has agreed to extend his stay at Real Madrid. The versatile French international is signing a five-year contract with Los Blancos. And his new deal will contain a release clause worth €1 billion.
Eduardo Camavinga has made considerable progress since joining Real Madrid from Stade Rennais in August 2021. The 20-year-old was a budding teenager when he completed the move worth €31 million. And he has unlocked new facets to his game in the last two seasons under the tutelage of Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian manager has brought the best out of the French international, utilising him as a promising left-back. The youngster has made nearly 100 appearances for Real Madrid, chipping in with two goals and four assists. And Camavinga’s progress has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs.
Recent reports have linked the former Rennes whizkid with Liverpool and Manchester United. And with the player yet to establish himself as the undisputed first-choice midfielder for Real Madrid, it is not surprising that prospective suitors are smelling blood. And Camavinga’s midfield prospects will likely suffer more following Jude Bellingham’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund.
But widespread reports have suggested the versatile French international remains committed to Real Madrid. In addition, he has already rebuffed interest from the Premier League clubs to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu. And the youngster is now on the verge of extending his stay at Real Madrid.
The report claims Camavinga’s new deal will see him commit to Real Madrid until June 30, 2028. In addition, the five-year contract will contain a release clause worth €1 billion, which should easily ward off suitors. And the 20-year-old should have repaid the €31 million spent on him in the next few seasons.
