Manchester United will reportedly demand €70 million to part ways with 23-year-old attacker Jadon Sancho, with Aston Villa interested.
According to a report by Football Transfers, Manchester United will open the exit door at Old Trafford for Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window. And the 23-year-old is a target for Aston Villa. But the Villans are not ready to meet the Red Devils’ valuation of €70 million to secure his services.
Jadon Sancho joined Manchester United amid much hype and fanfare surrounding him. The Red Devils were keen on signing the English international for a long time. But the deal did not materialise for a few transfer windows before he finally arrived in July 2021. However, his stock has plummeted in the last two seasons.
The 23-year-old has been a shell of the enterprising attacker he was at Borussia Dortmund. And Sancho’s tally of seven goals and three assists in 41 appearances this past season was dreadful. So it is hardly surprising that Manchester United will entertain bids for the youngster in the summer transfer window. And they have set a price tag of €70 million on him.
Recent reports have linked Sancho with Tottenham Hotspur. But the report by Football Transfers has quashed suggestions that the North London giants are interested in the Manchester United attacker. But Aston Villa will look to secure the player’s services in the summer transfer window.
The Villans are bracing themselves for a big summer transfer window as they look to move up the ladder in the Premier League. And with Monchi on the verge of arriving at Villa Park, Aston Villa will line up ambitious moves. One such deal might be for struggling Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho.
While the 23-year-old has struggled to assert himself at Old Trafford, he remains a highly-rated attacker. In addition, he has shown flashes of brilliance in the last two years at Manchester United. But Aston Villa will unlikely pay anywhere close to €70 million to secure Sancho’s services this summer.
Manchester United will already take a big hit on the investment from two years ago if they sell the English international for €70 million. But the Red Devils might have to compromise if Aston Villa’s stance does not change. Meanwhile, Sancho’s Manchester United teammate Harry Maguire is also on Aston Villa’s radar. And it will be interesting to see if the two move to Villa Park.
