Liverpool prepare bid to sign Federico Chiesa

Liverpool are ready to test Juventus’ resolve for Federico Chiesa with a €35 million offer in the upcoming window.

According to Calcio Mercato Web, Liverpool are ready to make a €35 million bid for Federico Chiesa in this window. The Merseysiders are ready to test Juventus’ resolve with an offer for the 25-year-old Italian international, with the Bianconeri set to think about it.

Liverpool are not happy with their fifth-placed finish in the Premier League, but that has not deterred them from advancing on their plans. The Merseysiders are always looking for good deals in the window and often tend not to overpay for their targets.

Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz arrived on deals less than media-reported prices in the last few windows. Similarly, they completed a move for Alexis Mac Allister for around £35 million, while many had previously suggested the Argentine could cost over £70 million.

They are planning on raiding Juventus for 25-year-old Italian international Federico Chiesa. Liverpool are preparing a €35 million bid for the Juventus winger, with the Serie A side reportedly considering a sale if the conditions are right.

The Bianconeri endured a difficult season that ended without any silverware and a costly 10-point deduction. The latter ensured they could only finish in 7th place, which is good enough to play Conference League football next season.

With financial problems mounting at the club, Juventus might consider selling some of their top assets. Two or three players can achieve good value in the market, including Gleison Bremer, Dusan Vlahovic and Chiesa.

The reports insist that despite paying a fee of more than €35 million to acquire Chiesa, Juventus have already amortised his contract. Hence a sale of the 25-year-old Italian international could bring better capital gains compared to Bremer or Vlahovic.

Vlahovic has plenty of interest from the Premier League, with many clubs vying for the Serbian’s signature. However, if Juventus decide on one major sale, from a financial standpoint, Chiesa’s seems more likely. As for Liverpool, their interest is nothing new.

They have kept constant tabs on the winger. They were handed a blow in pursuing the 25-year-old Italian international earlier last month, but Juventus’s circumstances have since changed. The Italian side is keen to raise funds to decide on the winger’s future.

Liverpool will see this as another coup, with Klopp likely to view this as an opportunistic signing rather than a necessity. For now, the Reds are focused on strengthening their midfielder after the arrival of Mac Allister. With Liverpool’s attack well stocked at the moment, Chiesa will come in as a luxury signing than anyth
