Chelsea ready to offer part-exchange deal to sign Victor Osimhen

Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Christian Pulisic in the deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, a target for Manchester United.

Chelsea are looking to bring in a quality goalscorer at the end of the season and have identified Victor Osimhen as the ideal option. A report from Daily Mail claims that the Blues could look to bring down the asking price for the 24-year-old Napoli striker, also a target for Manchester United, by offering Christian Pulisic in a part-exchange deal.

The 24-year-old American international winger has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and is no longer a regular starter for them. He needs to leave Chelsea to play regular first-team football. And a move away this summer would be ideal for all parties.

Napoli are reportedly keen on the 24-year-old winger. But it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to entertain a part-exchange offer from Chelsea involving Pulisic. Osimhen is reportedly a target for Manchester United as well.

The Red Devils are looking to bring in a quality striker who will share the goalscoring burden with Marcus Rashford. Osimhen has been in fantastic form this season, scoring 26 goals across all competitions and helping Napoli win the Scudetto.

The 24-year-old could be looking to play at a higher level next season. And the opportunity to join a Premier League club like Manchester United could be a tempting proposition. Recent reports have claimed that Chelsea and Manchester United are well-placed to sign the 24-year-old.

The striker is valued at £130 million by the Italian club. Chelsea and Manchester United will have to shatter their club transfer records to land him. Osimhen could sort out their attacking problems for the foreseeable future. But his asking price makes any potential move complicated.

Chelsea have struggled to find the back of the net consistently this season, and they are expected to part ways with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer. On-loan striker Romelu Lukaku will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

But the Belgian is unlikely to have a future at the Premier League club. He could also be sold in the summer to raise funds. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea can arrange the funds to bring in the Napoli striker this summer. But with Manchester United also in the mix, the £130 million race to sign Osimhen will be complicated.
