Liverpool, Tottenham keeping tabs on Enzo Le Fee

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for 23-year-old Lorient midfielder Enzo Le Fee.

Enzo Le Fee has been an important player for French outfit Lorient this season. And his performances have attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham, according to a report from 90min.

The report adds that Newcastle United, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on signing the 23-year-old midfielder at the end of the season as well. Le Fee will enter the final 12 months of his contract in the summer, and he could be available for a reasonable price.

Liverpool need to add midfield reinforcements, and the 23-year-old could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition. The Premier League giants will lose players like Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner as free agents. So Liverpool will have to bring in adequate replacements.

The Frenchman certainly has the potential to succeed at a top Premier League club. And it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can agree on a fee with Lorient. The 23-year-old can operate as an attacking midfielder as well as a central midfielder. He has played as a winger for Lorient as well. His versatility will be an added bonus for Liverpool if they manage to secure his services.

The Frenchman has five goals and five assists to his name across all competitions. And working with a manager like Jurgen Klopp will help him improve further. Meanwhile, Tottenham need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park as well. They must look to bring in someone who will add creativity and goals to the site.

The likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur are quite conservative in their approach. So Spurs need a midfielder who will add craft to the side and help break down the opposition defences. The 23-year-old Frenchman seems like an ideal fit. And it will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward with a concrete proposal for him.
