Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in signing 22-year-old Tottenham winger Dejan Kulusevski ahead of next season.
According to Calciomercatoweb, AC Milan are keen on signing Dejan Kulusevski. The 22-year-old could return to the Serie A ahead of next season. He is on the radar of the Italian giants, and they might look to push for his services in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Kulusevski joined Atalanta’s youth academy back in 2016. He came through the ranks at the club and became a first-team member in due course. His performances caught the eye of Serie A giants Juventus, who managed to land him in the winter of 2020.
Juventus sent him out on loan initially. And after returning to his parent club, the 22-year-old started to get some game time. But, he could not register himself as a regular and was sent out on loan to Tottenham back in the winter of 2022.
Kulusevski joined Spurs on an 18-month-long loan with an obligation to buy. The London club had the option to sign him for €30 million last summer. But, they decided against it. And, now the €35 million mandatory buy clause might come into effect.
It will be activated if the Sweden international plays in 50% of the team’s Premier League matches for at least 45 minutes and the Londoners qualify for the Champions League. There are high chances of the obligation to buy coming into effect.
However, the 22-year-old’s performances have suffered of late. And there are reports that if Antonio Conte leaves, he shall follow. With Conte’s departure almost certain, the Sweden international’s future at the club has become uncertain.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have kept an eye on Kulusevski’s situation at Spurs. They are interested in signing the young winger and are poised to open talks over a deal. Stefano Pioli’s men have not been as consistent as they were last season. While they have made it into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Pioli is certain that they will need additions in the summer.

The Italian manager is keen on having the 22-year-old in his ranks. Milan need attacking reinforcements, and they believe the arrival of Kulusevski will help their cause. However, they are not looking to sign him permanently right away. The Serie A club will look to loan him with an option to buy. As a result, it will be interesting to see if the Italian giants can manage to land the 22-year-old ahead of next season.
