Serie A heavyweights Napoli are reportedly interested in signing 19-year-old Barcelona midfield sensation Toni Caravaca this summer.
Football agent Giovanni De Montis has told Calciomercato that Toni Caravaca is a popular figure in the market. The 19-year-old Barcelona midfield sensation is the subject of interest from Napoli over a possible move in the summer transfer window. And a free transfer might be on the cards.
De Montis, who has an agency alongside Francesco Totti, said, “Offers arrived from Serie A in January, but Barcelona didn’t let him leave. The Spanish club is reflecting on the boy’s expiring contract, Napoli are also very interested.”
Toni Caravaca is the latest promising prospect emanating from La Masia to emerge in the spotlight. The Spanish whizkid has risen through the ranks in Barcelona’s youth division and currently plies his trade for the Juvenil A team. And his progress has been capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs.
Another reason for the widespread interest in Caravaca might be his expiring contract. The 19-year-old, who has made three appearances in the UEFA Youth League for Barcelona this season, will see his deal run out when the summer transfer window opens.
