La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly considering signing 19-year-old German international Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Jamal Musiala is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are closely monitoring the German international’s situation at Bayern Munich. And a move in the summer transfer window might be on the cards.
Jamal Musiala has gone from strength to strength since joining Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old joined the Bavarian giants after a stint in the Chelsea academy. And his stock has skyrocketed since breaking into the first-team squad at the Allianz Arena as a 17-year-old in June 2020.
The German international is also a regular for Die Mannschaft and was one of the best young players at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Meanwhile, Musiala is enjoying an excellent 2022/23 season, amassing 13 goals and 10 assists in 26 appearances thus far. The youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid interested in him.
Real Madrid can utilise a player like Musiala in one of two ways. He can be a long-term successor to Luka Modric, slotting in as a no. 8 in the midfield unit. Alternatively, the teenage prodigy can start as a wide attacker while having the freedom to roam in the final third. Either way, he can be a solid asset for Real Madrid.
So it is understandable why the reigning La Liga champions have been tracking the player’s progress. And Real Madrid might have a chance to sign the 19-year-old German international in the summer transfer window. That is because the teenager is somewhat unsettled at the Allianz Arena.
The premise seems strange, considering Musiala has become a regular for Bayern Munich this season. And recent reports even suggested that the youngster was an impossible target for Real Madrid. So it will be surprising if he leaves Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
