Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in 20-year-old Spanish international Yeremy Pino, valued at €80 million by Villarreal.
According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercatoweb, Barcelona and Real Madrid have set their sights on Yeremy Pino. Villarreal will demand €80 million to part ways with the youngster. And the Spanish international is also a target for Serie A heavyweights AC Milan and Juventus.
Yeremy Pino has been the talk of the town since enjoying a breakthrough 2021/22 campaign with Villarreal. The Spaniard was still in his teens back then and took little time to stamp his authority at Estadio de la Ceramica. And the 20-year-old has also established a foothold at the international level with La Roja.
But the Spanish international has not been at his best this season, managing only two goals and one assist in 22 appearances thus far. But that has not deterred Villarreal from slapping a price tag worth €80 million on Yeremy. And the player has captured the attention of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Barcelona will likely enter the market for a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. That is because Memphis Depay will likely leave Barcelona this year after falling to the bottom of the pecking order. In addition, Ferran Torres and Raphinha face uncertain futures at Spotify Camp Nou.
So Barcelona will need to invest in at least one versatile attacker, with Marcus Thuram emerging as a candidate. And Yeremy Pino is also an option worth considering for the Blaugrana. But Barcelona will need to fend off stiff competition from Real Madrid to sign the Spanish international.
Like the Catalan outfit, Real Madrid will likely see at least one wide attacker leave this year. Marco Asensio is in the final year of his contract and might depart as a free agent. In addition, Eden Hazard continues to be uninspiring and might not have a future at Real Madrid. So Yeremy has emerged as a viable target for Los Blancos.
Apart from Barcelona and Real Madrid, Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus also want to sign the Spanish international. But spending €80 million might be beyond all the suitors, except Real Madrid. Meanwhile, recent reports have also linked the player with Premier League bigwigs like Chelsea and Tottenham.
