Paulo Dybala struck a first-half brace to inspire Juventus to a 3-0 win over Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie on Tuesday.
Juventus seized a commanding three-goal lead in their quarterfinal tie with Barcelona after the first leg in Turin on Tuesday, and it was Paulo Dybala who was in inspiring form on the night to ensure that Luis Enrique’s men have a Himalayan task at their hands in the return leg next week.
Dybala opened the scoring just seven minutes into the match with a fine curling goal before doubling Juventus’ advantage by the 22nd minute thanks to another superbly struck left-footed goal.
The match was then put beyond any doubt in the 55th minute as Giorgio Chiellini headed home Juventus’ third goal, to send Barcelona in need for another miracle in order to progress to the semifinals.
After a comfortable home win for Juventus over Barcelona, here are some of the best tweets in the aftermath of the Champions League quarterfinal first leg game.

Barcelona’s shortcomings confirms systems > individuals. They have the GOAT in their side yet still lose heavily in Europe.

With Barcelona having made one of the greatest comebacks of all time against PSG in the previous round, another possible comeback became a talking point on Twitter:
Leave that talk. Barcelona will not repeat that PSG comeback at Camp Nou. This is Juventus we are talking about.

The reason Barcelona won’t overturn the first leg against Juventus compared to PSG is that Juventus can actually defend ??

Barca need to be reminded that Juve aren’t PSG. Juventus have Buffon, Bonucci and Chiellini…which means the 2nd leg will be intense.

But, Paulo Dybala was the biggest talking point after his man-of-the-match performance that left Barcelona on the brink of Champions League exit:
“People have to understand that I’m not Messi. I’m Dybala. I want to be me, not the new Messi.”
