After slumping to their third consecutive defeat in the Premier League for the first time, since Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich took over, Chelsea FC are reportedly looking at other options to replace manager Jose Mourinho.
While Pep Guardiola and Diego Simeone have emerged as the two most prominent names to land the job at Stamford Bridge, the latter seems to have his set of demands, if he is to move to West London, in the summer of 2016.
Chelsea FC have lost seven out of their 12 Premier League matches now, and are dangerously close to the relegation zone. In fact, this is the worst start made by any defending champion in the history of the Premier League.
With Simeone being one of the most prominent names to replace Mourinho on the hotseat, the Argentine has reportedly set his own demands for Abramovich, if he is to join the Blues.
He is reportedly not happy with the way things are run at Chelsea FC, and is looking for a complete overhaul, if he takes over, according to Daily Mirror. The 45-year-old is also not said to be too happy with the current Chelsea squad either. This means that we would in all probabilities be expecting some big spending by the West London club, if Simeone takes over.
Argentina in Simeone race too
However, Chelsea FC are not the only ones to be after the signature of Simeone, as they try to haul themselves out of a nightmare of a season.
The Argentina national side are also said to be trying to sign Simeone as their manager, according to The Independent . .
It would be interesting to see which way Simeone chooses to go — club or country. At Chelsea FC, he might get the money to assemble the squad he wants, but at Argentina, he has a squad that has key players on almost every section of the pitch.
