Arsenal FC legend Thierry Henry was left speechless when Graeme Souness asked the club legend if Walcott could play as a striker for the Gunners.

Arsenal FC’s search for a world class striker is well documented with Olivier Giroud currently the only recognized striker in their ranks. Walcott, who has been at the club for close to 10 years now, believes that he could lead the line for the Gunners. He has also been insistent on being provided a starting berth in the central role.

.

Wenger has been careful in using Walcott in his preferred central role, but the 26-year-old has started as the lone striker in the North London club’s last two competitive outing.

Sky pundits were seen discussing Arsenal FC’s title chances and the striking options at the club’s disposal when Souness asked Henry if Theo could be the answer to this situation. The ensuing reaction by Arsenal FC’s record scorer was gold, as he blanked out for a couple of seconds.

Arsene Wenger has suggested that Walcott could be used as a utility striker, but one has to wait and see if the French manager signs a center forward to complement Giroud and Walcott. Pundits and fans alike have urged the 65-year-old to splash the cash on a world class striker which will enable the North Londoners to challenge for the Premier League title. Arsenal failed to win the Premier League in 11 years since the memorable campaign of 2003/04.
