The speculation of where current Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is heading next summer appears to be over, as reports are coming in that he has agreed on a deal with Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is the most wanted man in Europe, after he announced that he would be leaving German giants Bayer Munich next year, and it seems like the Spaniard has confirmed where he wants to go next summer. Manchester City are reportedly going to be the club that lands Guardiola, according to reports coming in from Germany.

According to German publication Kicker, “His (Guardiola’s) new employer is clear. Kicker has confirmed from reliable sources that Pep Guardiola will be leaving Bayern Munich for Manchester City, even though Manuel Pellegrini is tied down there till summer 2017.”

Kicker goes on to add that the deal has been in the making for a year now, but has recently been confirmed. Guardiola’s decision was also influenced by the fact that he is good friends with Manchester City CEO, Ferran Soriano and Sports Director Txiki Begiristain, both of whom have worked with the manager before at Barcelona.

Unstoppable Manchester City .

Manchester City already boast of one of the strongest squads in Europe. Long serving Citizens like Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure, were joined by the likes of exciting young English winger Raheem Sterling and last season’s best assist maker across Europe Kevin de Bruyne.

With the arrival of a manager of the stature of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City now have all the ingredients required to be a powerhouse in the footballing world and that’s without taking into consideration the tactical genius and new players that the ex-Barcelona coach will bring in once he takes charge.
