Ivory Coast captain is in two minds regarding international football.

Yaya Toure, one of the talismans for Manchester City, is currently weighing up his option of retiring from international football to prolong his club career at Manchester City.

Manchester City, who were linked with Juventus superstar Paul Pogba throughout the summer, saw Pogba as the ideal man to replace the aging Yaya Toure. But with Juventus demanding an astronomical amount of transfer fees, along with Pogba preferring a move to Barcelona, the deal wasna t going to happen.

Manchester City had to pin their hopes on their aging midfield engine of Toure and Fernandinho returning to form if they were to challenge for the title. Tourea s return to form, after a disastrous last season, and Fernandinho recovering from the experience at the World Cup, saw Manchester City make a brilliant start to the season but the mood damped with two consecutive defeats.

Tourea s return to form may be linked to that he enjoyed a first full summer break in two years admitted that he felt jaded after playing five major tournaments for his country in six years.

The Ivory Coast captain, who led the side to glory in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year, in the interview to Manchester Evening News . also admitted that he is pondering on the decision and would make have to make a difficult decision soon.

a For me, the most important thing is the challenge. I love challenges, I love to lift trophies and I dona t want to talk about those things at the moment and stay focused.a

When pressed further about the upcoming Ivory Coast matches in October, Toure added a Ita s Man City first. For this month I stay quiet and do what I have to do.

a For me, I have to look at myself,a he said. a Ia m a good competitor and always want to improve, always want to be at the top, but ita s very difficult in football, very hard.

a You have to be 100 percent fit all the season. So we will see. In the future I will make a decision. For the moment no.

Toure revealed that hea s under pressure to continue, adding: a They know what I am capable of doing and how much pressure I take for the young players and sometimes the people cannot accept. Ita s difficult for them.a
