Juventus Confirm Vidal, Pogba Can Leave If They Submit Transfer Request

Juventus chief Marotta has said that Juventus’ best player can leave only if they submit transfer request.

The future of Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal has been subject of much speculation with Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, PSG all interested in the former, and Arsenal in the later. Real Madrid are reported to be looking into both the players.

Catalan newspaper Sport had claimed earlier that Juventus had the following three offers on the table for the Paul Pogba: a 80m + a 10m in add-ons from FC Barcelona to purchase in July 2016, a 50m + Brazilian midfielder Oscar from Chelsea FC to purchase this summer, and a cash-only a 100m offer from Manchester City to purchase the France international this summer.

Arturo Vidal transfer from Juventus had lesser suitors, but Arsenal FC were the club most heavily linked with the player over the last month and Real Madrid reportedly agreeing a deal with the player, too.

However, Juventus chief went onto confirm that Juventus did not receive any offer for Vidal from Real Madrid.

While Juventus chief Marota has also come out and said Juventus have no need to sell any of their top players to balance the book, his latest statement indicates the club will allow players to leave should they submit a transfer request, despite being reluctant to do so.

Marotta told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “We will not sell our best players, our top assets unless the players themselves ask us to leave.”

“In addition, we don’t need cash so we’re not prepared to accept any discount offers on the price of our players.”

.

The statement comes at quite an interesting time, following a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport that Juventus have set a deadline of 31st July for entertaining offers for midfield duo Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal.
