FC Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta has confirmed that he is in contact with Juventus who plan to sell Paul Pogba
Paul Pogbaa s future at Juventus has been up for speculation this summer. The 22-year-old is one of the best central midfield player despite his tender age and has been linked with moves to Chelsea FC, Manchester City, and Real Madrid a number of times this season.
The French internationala s reputation has grown by leaps and bounds since he joined Juventus from Manchester United in 2012 and FC Barcelona have been in the forefront of the race to sign the player for some time now, with outgoing FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirming earlier that the club is looking to sign Paul Pogba with the asking price of Juventus of a 80 Million not a problem for the Catalan giants.
FC Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta has claimed that he will sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, if he wins the election on 18th of July. He insisted that Pogba is a enthusiastica about signing for the Catalan club, and also has now confirmed that Juventus are looking to sell the player at the right price to him should he become the president.
a Pogba would be a great signing. He is a very strong player, very young and he is enthusiastic to arrive here. Everyone believes he would fit in Barcaa s system.”
a I have a good relationship with Pogbaa s agent, Mino Raiola, since the time when we signed Maxwell and (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic,a . Laporta said in an interview to Catalunya Radio.
a I don’t think Juventus will do anything until there is a new President in charge of Barcelona. We will talk to the Italian club, but until there’s a new President they won’t want to discuss the matter.”
a This is a clue that Juventus want to sell, if what they say is true. I don’t think they will get together with us until after July 19.”
It remains to be seen how much truth is in the claims of Laporta that Juventus are looking to sell the midfielder. Paul Pogba is certainly not short of options, with FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea FC all queuing up for the midfielder. It remains to be seen where the Juventus midfielder will head, if at all he is allowed to move.
