Ivanovic, Fabregas targeted again after Chelsea FC fall to third defeat of the season against Everton [Tweets]

Chelsea FC slipped to a third defeat in five games this season with a 3-1 loss to Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday. Several key performers for the Blues have not pulled their weight this season, with Branislav Ivanovi and Cesc F bregas again targeted by fans.

If Jos Mourinho expected things to improve after the international break for his Chelsea FC side, he was sorely mistaken. Even though the Blues made a promising start against Roberto Mart nez’s Everton, the substitution of Steven Naismith turned the game on its head.

.

The Scotsman has a particularly good record against Chelsea FC, and improved that considerably on Saturday with the perfect hat-trick — scoring with a free header from inside the box, a left-footed effort from distance and killing the game with a superb finish from a tight angle with his right foot.

The Blues’ vice-captain is having a season to forget so far, and once again was questioned for his role in the first two goals scored by Naismith. The cross for Steven Naismith’s header from the Toffees’ left was allowed far too easily, while Ivanovi made no special efforts to close down the Scotsman for his second goal either.

Spaniard Cesc F bregas was in fine form at the beginning of last season along with fellow new signing Diego Costa, but has started this season in less-than-convincing form. Chelsea FC fans are frustrated with the lack of creativity up front, and even Belgian superstar Eden Hazard has come under criticism for his poor start to the season.

Meanwhile, some fans directed their anger at manager Jos Mourinho’s son, who appeared to mock the result via his Twitter account. The teenager has since deleted the tweet, however, and has defended his actions, claiming the tweet was not a reaction to the Blues’ result.

Here are the pick of the tweets following another dismal day for Mourinho and his Chelsea side:

I am very sad that jose thinks the team deseves more and will still pick ivanovic and cesc. This is not the jose we know

I fear for us if Ivanovic starts next Saturday…Walcott/Sanchez & Chamberlain pace will destroy him.

a ChelseaTalk (@TheBlues_Talk) September 12, 2015

@Squawka Ivanovic assisted 7 for our opponents.

a Mourinholic (@Mourinholic) September 12, 2015

Ivanovic struck such a strange pose when he was ‘defending’ that second goal. Antithesis of full-blooded defender he used to be #motd

a Oliver Holt (@OllieHolt22) September 12, 2015

There’ll be a day when Diego starts scoring, Cesc starts assisting and Eden starts creating. And Ivanovic starts defending. And we’ll win.

a Chelsea Rumours (@ChelseaRumours) September 12, 2015

NO EXCUSES. Starting Ivanovic was asking for trouble. Common sense didn’t prevail. #CFC

a Feroze Ali (@feroze17) September 12, 2015

How Fabregas is still on the pitch is a mystery…

a Chelsea HQ (@Chelsea_HQ) September 12, 2015

Fabregas level is equal to Vurnon Anita at the minute.

a Lewis Stamford (@OhPitchPlease) September 12, 2015

I love Eden Hazard. Absolutely love him. But the state of him at the moment. He’s on how much? Came back this unfit? Just unreal.
