Despite his poor run of results, Jose Mourinho has been backed by former Manchester United captain Gary Neville after Chelsea suffered a 2-1 defeat against West Ham United.
The self styled Special One is in need of something special as he looks to turn around the cluba s fortunes and has been receiving support from a number of places in the wake of his poor results with Manchester United legend Gary Neville being the latest to voice his opinion in support of Mourinho.
Chelsea FCa s dire start to the season has attracted attention from all corners and the Sky Sports pundit gave his two cents on the topic. Neville was frank in his assessment of Jose Mourinho in his Podcast and claimed that he wishes to see him overcome his current difficulties at Chelsea FC.
“I want to see him at Chelsea, I want to see him in the Premier League. I don’t want to see him leave, he brings too much good to the league.
“He’s been one of the best managers over the past 10-12 years in terms of intervening in football matches, now he’s got to intervene off the pitch.a
Neville, though, condemned the way Mourinho has been attracting negative media attention.
“Mourinho is a fantastic manager – one of the best in the world – and I have an enormous amount of time and respect for him, but the bad headlines need to stop quickly.
“I want to see it settle down but it’s rolling and rolling and getting more traction week by week. He is putting more fuel on the fire and so are the club and players.a
