Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently stormed out of an interview in anger when the interviewer asked him about FIFA, football’s governing body, and the 2022 World Cup which is scheduled to be held in Qatar.
FIFA has been engulfed in a corruption scandal relating to the awarding of the 2018 and 2022 World Cups to Russia and Qatar respectively. 14 individuals have been indicted on charges of racketeering, conspiracy and corruption, which includes a two past and seven present FIFA officials.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter had earlier stepped down from his role as the head of the governing body amidst rumours of his involvement in corruption relating to the awarding of the FIFA World Cup to Russia and Qatar. It has been alleged that some FIFA officials took bribes in exchange for their votes.

The corruption scandal has drawn divided opinions from all sections of the footballing world. However, some people, including Real Madrid’s record-breaking goal-scorer Cristiano Ronaldo are unwilling to talk about it. The three time Ballon D’Or winner was agitated when asked about FIFA and stormed out of his interview.
‘I don’t care about FIFA, Qatar, I don’t give a f***,’ Cristiano said while speaking in a recent interview with CNN, as reported by Mail Online.
