Arsenal FC have reportedly placed an offer of a 12 million for Chelsea FC starlet Charly Musonda.

Charly Musonda is one of the brightest prospects that Chelsea have in their ranks, but his future at Stamford Bridge has come under a lot of speculations recently. The attacking midfielder signed his first professional contract with the London club back in 2013, and his prodigious talent has drawn a lot of attentions in the past few years.

Charly Jr, son of former Anderlecht midfielder Charly Sr, was recently advised by his father to leave the reigning Premier League champions, in search of regular first team football, and join Monaco, one of his suitors.

.

“He must absolutely leave Chelsea and, since January, Monaco have been trying to sign him. Monaco are not alone but they truly want him.a a Musonda Sr said back then, in an interview to La DerniA?re Heur.

As Charlya s father mentioned, Monaco arena t the only club to be monitoring his progress at Stamford Bridge. Marseille, PSG, Manchester City and Arsenal have been previously linked with him. Monaco however were believed to be the front runners, and were expected to include the youngster in a deal if Chelsea wanted to sign Falcao permanently. But the Blues settled for a loan and Monaco are finding it hard to negotiate a move for the attacking midfielder.

French football media Footmercato, have now claimed that Arsenal have placed a bid of a 12m for the youngster. This would be the Gunnersa , who are close to completing the signing of Petr Cech, second attempt to sign a Chelsea player this summer. This report however remains questionable as Charly Musonda is unlikely to get any regular first team action with Arsenal, the reason why he is believed to be interested in moving away from Chelsea in the first place. Moreover, Arsene Wenger already has a lot of options for role Charly plays in, which is why investing so much money on an unproven youngster seems unlikely at this point. Monaco on the other hand looks like a more likelier destination.

Arsenal have made a a 12m offer for Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda, according to @footmercato. More to follow.
