According to reports, PSG duo Edison Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi are both keen to move to Chelsea in the coming transfer window.
Edison Cavani has long been linked with a move away from PSG after reports emerged that he was unhappy with playing on the wings. Manager Laurent Blanc prefers Zlatan to the Uruguayan striker which means that Cavani has been forced to play away from his preferred position. With quite a lot of big European clubs looking for a sharp striker to lead their attack, Cavani has been linked with a move to both Manchester United and Chelsea.
Recent reports reveal that Cavaniai??i??s teammate Lavezzi too is looking to leave Paris and has his heart set on playing for Mourinho at Chelsea. The Portuguese manager has made it clear that he will be investing heavily in a new striker in the coming transfer window and might bid for the Argentine too in a bid to bolster his midfield. Lavezzi will be an interesting addition at Stamford Bridge but it remains to be seen if Chelsea are in need of yet another midfielder having invested in Salah and Willian last season. Also, as reported earlier, Chelsea might not be able to afford both Cavani and Lavezzi and might have to sell either Hazard or Oscar to make space for a new striker. The London club will not be able to rely on their ownerai??i??s financial clout and will have to comply with the UEFA Financial Fair Play rules and hence it looks very unlikely that Chelsea will be able to bring the PSG duo to Stamford Bridge. However a bid for Cavani cannot be ruled out who himself urged Chelsea to spend more money in the transfer window.
Meanwhile Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has apparently caught the eye at Inter Milan and might move to Italy as Chelsea look to clear out extra baggage this summer. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he will be putting his strikers up for sale in order to make place for new arrivals and it looks like Torres is one of the first strikers who will be asked to leave this summer.
The Spaniard has long been linked with a move to Inter Milan and the clubai??i??s general director Marco Fassone has confirmed that there is some truth in the rumours regarding the 30 year old striker.
