Chelsea FC midfielder Kevin De Bruyneai??i??s agent has revealed that the Belgium international wants to leave the London club permanently.
Kevin De Bruyne joined Chelsea in January last year and since then he has made only six appearances for the club after spending loan spells at Genk and Werder Bremen. The 22-year-old ended the World Cup qualification campaign as the top scorer for Belgium as they secured their place in the mega-event to be held in Brazil next year, but hasnai??i??t been able to grab a permanent place under Jose Mourinho so far.
But De Bruyne has started in only two Premier League matches for Chelsea this season and his place in the national team could be in jeopardy if he continues to miss out on first team action with his club. Chelsea have an embarrassment of riches in the attacking third of the field and De Bruyne has to compete with the likes of Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Andre Schurrle and Juan Mata for a place in the side. Even fellow countryman Eden Hazard has earlier suggested Kevin De Bruyne to leave the club in order to gain regular first team action before the World Cup.
De Bruyneai??i??s agent Patrick De Koster has held talks with Chelsea and has informed the club about the playerai??i??s desire to leave in January. His agent has now publicly revealed this decision and has insisted that they will avoid a loan move as they are looking for a permanent solution. De Bruyne has been linked with a move to Wolfsburg, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid, and De Koster has revealed that the Belgium international would prefer a move to Bundesliga.
“Another loan wouldn’t be good for the player or the club.
“The player and his family would like to secure a permanent solution because he has been out on loan already twice.
“It’s a World Cup year and for this reason he needs to play.
“Now in the next few hours or days, we will see if somebody finds an agreement with Chelsea. If there is an agreement I will speak with the player about what we will do.
“His preference is to go back to the Bundesliga. There have been discussions with Wolfsburg and other clubs.”- De Koster told the press.
De Bruyneai??i??s current contract with Chelsea runs till 2017 and reports suggest that the London club are expected to demand a transfer fee of 15 million euros for the 22-year-old.
