AC Milan midfielder Suso is attracting interest from Chelsea and Juventus, according to reports
According to CalcioMercato, former Liverpool midfielder Suso is a summer target for both Chelsea and Juventus, who are looking to take advantage of his contract issues with AC Milan.
Suso, who spent 2 and a half years with Liverpool before joining AC Milan in the winter transfer window in 2015 for a €1.3 million compensatory fee, has been one of the stand-out players in the Serie A this season.
In 26 starts for the Rossoneri, Suso has scored 6 goals and picked up 7 assists. He has also picked up 4 man of the match awards and has been one of Milan’s most consistent performers.
AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella is a big fan of Suso and Calciomercato claim that he blocked a move for the Spaniard in the summer and is keen to extend his contract.
However, the complications over Milan’s takeover by Sino-Europe Sports have held up contract negotiations with several players, Suso being one of them.
Milan are trying their best to agree a deal with Suso but might be forced to sell, with the player apparently valued at €30 million Euros by the Rossoneri.
Calciomercato state that Chelsea have now stepped up their interest in the midfielder over the past few days with Antonio Conte said to be a big admirer of the Spaniard.
Conte is looking to add players to his squad as Chelsea will have the added pressures of European football next season, and Suso is reportedly high on his list of potential recruits.
They also state that Juventus are in the running to sign Suso, with Giuseppe Marotta said to be keen on adding more attacking players to the ranks in Turin.
Juventus have apparently marked Suso along with another Chelsea target, Federico Bernardeschi, as one of their potential summer recruits.
AC Milan might not have a choice but to sell, should Suso’s contract negotiations still suffer as a result of their complicated takeover.
The midfielder is also only under contract till 2019, which may not give them an option but to sell or risk losing him for a paltry fee.
Neither Chelsea nor Juventus will have any issues with the reported €30 million valuation should they pursue their interest and this could work in Milan’s favour as they look to hike up his price due to the competition for his signature.
