Arsenal have confirmed that 17-year-old exciting talent Reiss Nelson has signed his first professional contract at Emirates.
Arsenal have confirmed through their official website that their highly rated 17-year-old wing prodigy Reiss Nelson has signed a professional contract at the club. The youngster is touted as one of the best talents present in the Arsenal youth setup currently and the Gunners would be delighted with the fact that the winger has signed a deal to stay with the Londoners.
Reiss Nelson joined the club at the age of seven and has risen through the ranks at Arsenal. He has developed fantastically and made rapid progression towards the first-team setup. For a player who turned 17 just last month, the winger has been a regular face for Arsenal’s Under-23 side in both the Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League.

While the 17-year-old has managed 3 goals and 3 assists in the Under-23 Premier League in 17 outings, the player has also notched up 2 goals in the UEFA Youth League. But beyond the goals, it is Nelson’s impressive array of skills and natural talent that has caught the attention of the coaches.
As Jeorge Bird, a known expert when it comes to Arsenal youth, describes in his words, the youngster is a tricky winger with flair. The player is also versatile as he can operate behind the striker other than being a winger, his natural position.
Reiss has also represented England at various youth levels. In fact, the winger, now 17, was one of the highlights of the European Under-17 Championship in Azerbaijan over the summer as he managed to find the back of the net on nine occasions during the event.

Reiss Nelson will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of many an English international player that have come through the prestigious Arsenal youth setup. The player is very talented and if he keeps delivering on the pitch as consistently as he has been, it would be difficult to stop the 17-year-old from a breakthrough into the first-team setup at Emirates.
The player idolises Real Madrid legend and current Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane and Arsenal fans would be hoping the 17-year-old is able to emulate his idol and have a successful career.
