Saudi Pro League line up €60 million move for Bruno Fernandes

Saudi Pro League clubs will reportedly attempt to sign 31-year-old Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United in a deal worth €60 million this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Saudi Pro League clubs remain interested in Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes. Several teams are eager to bolster their offensive units by signing a productive playmaker in the upcoming transfer window.

The latest report has revealed that the Saudi Pro League clubs will aim to secure the veteran playmaker’s services for €60 million. However, the update has not mentioned the identity of the club pursuing the Manchester United captain’s signature ahead of the 2026/27 season.

How has Bruno Fernandes fared at Manchester United so far?

Bruno Fernandes has been one of the world’s best players since joining Manchester United from Sporting CP in a deal worth €55 million in January 2020. The 31-year-old playmaker took to the Premier League like fish to water, and he has been a pivotal figure for the Red Devils, even though they have endured a topsy-turvy ride in the last half a dozen years.

The Portuguese international has been excellent in the 2025/26 season, scoring eight goals and providing 19 assists in 32 appearances across all competitions thus far. However, speculation surrounding Fernandes has soared this year, and the Saudi Pro League will aim to secure his services in the coming months.

Will Fernandes move to the Saudi Pro League?

While Bruno Fernandes has been brilliant for Manchester United, his long-term future has been uncertain since last summer due to his relentless links with Saudi Pro League clubs. Many tried to sign the Manchester United captain last summer, but a deal did not materialise.

The continued interest is understandable, as Saudi Pro League clubs seek to maintain their pursuit of high-profile players ahead of the 2026/27 season. Mohamed Salah is another top target for the Saudi Pro League, and they will aim to land Fernandes for €60 million in the summer transfer window.

However, recent reports have claimed that the 31-year-old Portuguese international is ready to remain at Old Trafford, with Senne Lammens also suggesting the same in a recent interview. So, it will be interesting to see if Manchester United will respond favourably to a bid worth €60 million from the Saudi Pro League.
