Liverpool goalkeeping mainstay Alisson Becker is reportedly ready to make the move to Juventus in the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Alisson Becker, as the Liverpool shot-stopper is open to the idea of joining the Serie A giants. The Old Lady have their eyes firmly set on him and are prepairing a three-year contract for the Brazilian international.
Alisson’s time at Liverpool could end soon
Alisson Becker, who made a name for himself at AS Roma, made the move to Liverpool in the summer of 2018. He has been the go-to man in goal for the Reds over the years and has played a massive part in all the success they have had.
He has helped them win two Premier League titles and a Champions League title. Despite the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, Alisosn has retained the number one spot under Arne Slot. But it seems the Reds are now ready to move on from the Brazilian international.
When they struck a deal for the Georgian international during the summer of 2024, the idea was that he would replace Alisson in goal last summer. However, the Brazilian international has remained their preferred choice, although this is set to change ahead of next season.
Alisson could end up joining Juventus
Liverpool are ready to cash in on the 33-year-old, and Juventus have emerged as the leading candidate for his services. The Old Lady are in the market for a new shot-stopper because Michele Di Gregorio has not been consistent enough, and Mattia Perin’s future has been uncertain.
While they do have a number of options, the Turin-based club are focusing heavily on Alisson. He is their top target, and their chances of signing him have been boosted as the veteran goalkeeper is open to joining them. The Bianconeri have started working on a potential transfer, with his €8 million-a-year being the biggest hurdle. Juventus are offering him a three-year deal with a lower salary, which is compatible with their salary cap.
